INVISIBLE as a child I experienced
I began my rich experience
of disability
It an irony that with this
experience I am expected to
disabled woman artist I am invisible in the world. I have no resources
to create, no space, no assistants.

I should live, how I cope.
My image is
created by non-disabled people with charity constructs
without experience

What could I gain from such inexperienced people?
Questioning
their having a career - status
from this,
whereas
our real expertise is not used - not recognised,
We're in the DSS/charity trap

Non-disabled people employed
in the disability industry
disability providing
- status
- an income
giving houses, cars, holidays,
control
Disabled people,
truly experienced in the disability field
- unemployed
- state benefit
providing poverty.
