  SIGNIFICANCE
 THE ONLY INVITATION

To Those Not Allowed

We are celebrating the conception of all disabled people and want to invite you to the party. It's to be a commemoration too, of the lives you should have had. We would love it if you could be there.

I was conceived, and fortunately allowed to be born, fifty years ago this new millennium year and because it is the new millennium, the dawning of the new genetics age and probably our last chance as a people, we decided to celebrate the event and to remember.

We thought of inviting people who are, have been, or will be, significant. I don't know what significance you would have had as yours is thought a life not worth living - as ours was too but luckily we escaped and are here now. We know this will not be the case in the future, our presence is increasingly disallowed, so our party is to commemorate all of us: living and not allowed to live.

The party is to be a yearly event. We will look for significance, for significant people, and throw a party as the only remembrance, the only memorial so far set up, throughout all ages, all countries and peoples, the only one set up to honour and remember the lives of disabled people who have been, and are, massacred, institutionalised, not allowed life. You are not forgotten as long as we remain.

We take your acceptance as read and your absence as involuntary

Love
Myther White
